Two TREC championships have been held in the National Park, The British TREC Championships at Cantref Riding Centre in 2005 and the Welsh TREC Championships at Tregoyd Mountain Riders in 2006.
The facilities and quality of routes in the National Park attracted the two championships because they matched perfectly the requirements of this standard of competition.
