Lluest Horse and Pony Trust

Housing, feeding, shoeing and veterinary care require time, skill and money. Most owners love their horses and look after them well, but unfortunately a minority neglect their animals.

Many end up at the Lluest Horse and Pony Trust, a rescue centre for horses, ponies and donkeys at a 40-acre farm on the west of the National Park. It aims to restore them to full health, and find new loving loan homes. Sadly, some never fully recover and remain at Lluest for life.

Summer weekend opening from May 17th – September 21st Saturdays & Sundays from 2pm-4pm. For other visiting arrangements please telephone 01550 740661 or email lluestmanager@tiscali.co.uk

Fforest Uchaf Horse & Pony Centre & Pit Pony Sanctuary

One day there will be a secure home for the Pit Ponies and other needy Horses & Ponies. It will be a large grassland farm with a good range of warm, dry buildings to shelter old bones on cold winter nights. It will have a stream babbling over rocks where ponies can drink long & cool on long summer days. It will be easily accessible to allow all the people who wish to come and meet the last few Pit Ponies and other residents of this centre to do so easily. It will be open to all who want to help and like the ponies, people here will hold no prejudice.
